Lindy Schwartz Emergency Fund
DONATIONS MADE ON THIS PAGE GO INTO THE BANDIT’S BANDAID GENERAL EMERGENCY FUND. FUNDS ARE USED IN SITUATIONS WHERE THERE IS NO TIME TO DO AN ON-THE-SPOT FUNDRAISER.
The total donation showing in the fundraiser, above, is what has been contributed to the emergency fund since this new website was launched in January of 2017. As dollars are used to pay veterinary bills, the actual balance of dollars remaining in the emergency fund will be updated below on a bi-weekly basis.
AVAILABLE FUNDS AS OF December 8, 2017: $3,030
The Lindy Schwartz Fund pays for life saving emergency care for any breed of dog. Our objective is to maintain a balance of $10,000 because emergency surgeries can cost many thousands of dollars and full payment is often required up front. As veterinary bills are paid the balance shown on this page will be reduced until additional donations are obtained to restore it. Our ultimate goal is for no owner to be forced to make emergency treatment decisions for a beloved pet based solely upon finances.
Lindy was the beautiful and beloved Corgi of Marian Schwartz who passed away very suddenly in May of 2015. Even while dealing with her own loss, Marian thought about others and made a wonderful donation to the Bandit’s Bandaid emergency fund in memory of Lindy. That spirit of generosity is what has enabled our program to assist so many, and it is why the FaithBark Board of Directors named the emergency fund in Lindy’s memory. We are honored that Lindy, the Corgi girl that rocked the lion cut, has this special place in the Bandit’s Bandaid family.
